In the late summer of 2014 our discussions around Sweden's nature, animals and the right of public access – Allemansrätten – resulted in the idea to create a new floral pattern.

Livstycket in Sweden The pattern Livstycket comes into bloom

Participants at Livstycket went on daily excursions to neighbouring allotment gardens and also into the woods where we picked flowers, plants and mushrooms and categorised them.

We enjoyed being in the sun, drinking coffee and eating cinnamon buns whilst we drew pictures of what we had found. The result was the pattern "Livstycket comes into bloom".
